The state government has announced the Composite School Grant to purchase necessary materials for teaching in government schools. Udaipur will receive Rs 58.7 crore, which includes schools in Salumber. A total of Rs 113.31 crore has been approved for the state. There are total 3,092 government schools in Udaipur.
Previously, Rs 2,000 were given per teacher. For up to 30 students, Rs 10,000/- will be provided; for up to 100 students, Rs 25,000/- ; for schools with 250 students, Rs 50,000/-; for up to 1,000 students, Rs 75,000/-; and for schools with more than 1,000 students, a provision of Rs 100,000/- has been made.
The grant amount can be spent on purchasing mats, stationery, setting up drinking water facilities, organizing competitions, and laboratory materials. Additionally, under the cleanliness plan, the fund can be used for toilet maintenance, minor repairs, running water facilities, and providing soap for handwashing.
