Udaipur, December 5,2024 - The Directorate of Secondary Education has released the district rankings on the Shala Darpan portal. Sikar district has topped the list, while Sirohi is at the bottom. Udaipur district secured the 22nd position, showing a decline in performance this year.

Udaipur's Decline in Rankings

At the beginning of the year, Udaipur was ranked 6th in January. However, its performance dropped significantly. By September, Udaipur fell to 27th position, and in October, it reached 32nd. Although the district climbed back to 22nd in November, it cannot be considered a major improvement.

Reasons Behind Poor Performance

Questions are being raised about the reasons for Udaipur’s poor performance. Some believe the lack of resources is a factor, while others point to teachers failing to update information on the Shala Darpan portal.

Dungarpur's Excellent Performance

Two districts from the Udaipur division are in the top 10 rankings. Dungarpur achieved the 2nd position, while Rajsamand secured 5th place. Dungarpur has shown consistent performance throughout the year.

• Academic awards like Inspire (15 points)

• Student enrollment and improvement (10 points)

• Mid-term exam quality (30 points)

• Bright Panchayat initiatives (5 points)

• Funds through Gyan Sankalp portal (10 points)

• Parent-teacher meeting attendance (5 points)

• ICT labs and SDMC meetings (5 points each)

• Sports ground development (5 points).
