Young research scholar from Udaipur, Rahul Mehta has been granted a scholarship of Rs. 80 lacs by National University of Singapore (NUS), where he will be pursuing his PhD research in the field of ‘Integration of Renewable Energy Sources to Power Grid using AI’.

Son of Rajendra Kumar Mehta, Ranger in Rajasthan Forest Dept. at Udaipur  and Manju Mehta; Rahul aspires to do quality research on the subject and would like to continue working in the same genre, even after his course span gets over.

Rahul said “Researching in the Renewable Energy Sources is my field of interest, since the current prime option to generate electricity is using fossil fuels which emit a significant amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and thereby leading to global warming.”

“With Renewable Sources of harnessing energy, this issue could be resolved but there are many factors of concern in it, over which I’d be working”, quotes Rahul.

Worked previously at Reliance Industries Ltd. as Manager for over 2 years, Rahul has completed his engineering in Electrical branch from IIT (BHU) Varanasi in 2011.

Commenting on their son’s success, his parents quoted, “We are very happy for his achievement. He has earned this success with the dedication and passion he has constantly shown, for his studies.”

Rahul moved to Singapore this August and will be continuing his research over the 4 years span at National University of Singapore (NUS). NUS stands at No. 1 ranking in Asia and among top 10 Universities in the world.
