In an another academic advancement in Udaipur, three students have been selected for the final stage of the prestigious International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO).

Yash Gupta, Yash Nalwaya & Jashan Singhal, students of Resonance, Udaipur have been selected for the final stage of International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO).

The trio cleared stage-2 of International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), which was organized from 4th to 25th May 2011 at Hyderabad.

A total of 21 students were selected from the country for this Olympiad, after a written test conducted by Geographical Society of India on 23rd January 2011 & finally 4 of them have been selected for the IESO-2011 which is going to be held in Modena, Italy.

Yash Gupta has secured 1st Rank in order of Merit in the camp followed by Yash Nalwaya, Jashn Singhal & Pritish Laxmikant Patil.

Yash Gupta had earlier won Gold Medal in IJSO – 2010 held at Abuja, Nigeria in December 2010. His other achievements includes an AIR -3 in Unified Cyber Olympiad 2009, he has cleared first stage of Jr. Astronomy Olympiad 2009 and AIR-2 in NSTSE 2010 etc.

Yash Nalwaya has also performed brilliantly in other competitive examinations earlier. He was selected in the Top 20 students of Rajasthan in State Science Talent Search Examination conducted by Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of Rajasthan in 2010-11.

He has also secured 10 CGPA in Class X Examination & aspiring to be an IITian.

Jashn Singhal has also cleared NTSE. He also aspires to become an IITian.

It has been a glorious year for the students of Resonance, Udaipur in terms of success in competitive examinations. Earlier 22 of its students had qualified the Stage-1 of NTSE while 3 of its students also cleared Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY).

Jashan Singhal, Yash Gupta and Yash Nalwaya all are at present studying at Resonance, Udaipur.

IESO comprises one of the 12 Olympiads in which students at the senior secondary level of schooling are tested for their capacities in disciplines including geology, astronomy, environmental sciences and meteorology.
