Udaipur to Host JEE Main 2026 as NTA Expands Exam Centres Nationwide
More than 320 cities to host JEE Main 2026 exams, up from 304 last year

Udaipur, Oct 24, 2025 - The country’s largest engineering entrance exam, JEE Main 2026 (January session), will this time be conducted in more than 320 exam cities across India and abroad, including Udaipur.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), New Delhi, has decided to increase the number of exam centres considering the growing number of candidates and the need for efficient exam management. In an advisory issued by the NTA, it was said that the previous year’s JEE Main 2025 January session was held in 304 cities, including 15 foreign centres. During that session, 13.11 lakh students applied, of which 12.58 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. This year, the number of applicants is expected to be even higher.
According to the agency, the number of centres is being increased to around 320 cities, so that candidates can get an exam centre in their home State or a nearby city.
