UGC-NET 2021 exams in October-Application process begins

Online portal has been opened by NTA for online submission of applications.

The last date for submission of applications is September 5.

UGC-NET June 2021 exams are going to take place in October. The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened an online portal for submission of online applications on August 10. The last date for submitting the application is September 5 (11:50 p.m.).

The candidates can submit the applications on ugcnet.nta.nic.in, nta.ac.in. The NTA has merged both UGC-NET of December 2020 and June 2021 cycles. The last date for submitting the fee is September 6, 11:50 p.m.  The exams will be held in 2 shifts from October 6 to October 11.

“Due to postponement of December 2020 UGC-NET in view of COVID-19, the schedule of June 2021 UGC-NET has been delayed. In order to regularise the UGC-NET examination cycles, the National Testing Agency (NTA), with the concurrence of UGC, has merged both UGC-NET of December 2020 and June 2021 cycles so that they be conducted together in CBT mode.” the official notification reads.

The candidates who have registered for December 2020 cycle but have been unable to complete the application process can also submit the application online. Though both the exams have been merged, yet the methodology for Subject-wise cum Category-wise allocation of JRFs shall remain unchanged. For the JRF, the age limit has also been specified by NTA. The candidate appearing for JRF should not be more than 31 years of age on October 1, 2021.There is no upper age limit for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
