Vanraj is Mr Zenith at “PICHOLA – 2017” | Annual Fest at BN Concludes

Vanraj Singh Chauhan was declared Mr Zenith at the Annual BNPG College Cultural Fest “Pichola 2017”, that concluded at the BN University premises today. Hemendra Singh was declared the first Runner Up and Nadeem Khan was chosen as the Second Runner Up, after a competitive three rounds

Vanraj Singh Chauhan was declared Mr Zenith at the Annual BNPG College Cultural Fest “Pichola 2017”, that concluded at the BN University premises today.  Hemendra Singh was declared the first Runner Up and Nadeem Khan was chosen as the Second Runner Up, after a competitive three rounds.

The two day “Pichola 2017” annual fest came to a colorful and soulful conclusion, in the presence of various dignitaries from the University and the city.

Apart from the Mr Zenith event, the other events included folk songs viz. “Banna ki laal laal ankhiyan”, “Neele Ghode ra Avsaar”, etc., folk dances, skits, fancy dress competition, other Punjabi and Rajasthani songs, film songs rendition, dances to film songs, etc.  The musical evening kept the audience enthralled all through the day, with the Zenith coming towards the evening.

Arjun Lal Meena, MP from Udaipur Lok Sabha division, in his address as Chief Guest to the students, faculty and other guests who were present during the event, emphasized the importance of Rajasthani language and culture and appreciated the conduct of the program, saying that programs of this nature and content ensure that the students are kept in touch with the local dialect and appreciate the importance of Rajasthani Language, which should also a part of the Eight Schedule of the Constitution.  He stressed that students should develop respect and sensitivity towards the local language and culture and be proud of the heritage that Mewar and Rajasthan have to offer to the world.

On the occasion, Meena presented awards and certificates to meritorious students who had performed in both academic and co-curricular activities during the year gone by.

Chair of the event, Professor Mahendra Singh Aagariya, President of BN University, said that students of the University are excelling in both academic and co-curricular areas by participating within and outside the University, in such events, which polishes their psyche and personality.  He expressed his appreciation and said that the University is proud of her students.

Dean, BNPG College, Dr. Vikram Singh Shaktawat, presented the annual report and elaborated on the activities during the last academic year, which would have been in normal course, had it not been, that the year gone by has been the first year for BN University after its formal incorporation as a University.

Also present on the occasion were Tej Singh Bansi – Vice President of the Vidhya Pracharini Sabha; Padam Singh Paakhand – Joint Secretary of the Vidhya Pracharini Sabha; Jeevan Singh Jhamoli – Executive Member of the Vidhya Pracharini Sabha; Mool Singh Jheelwada; Moti Singh Jhala; Maan Singh Chundawat – President of the Old Boys Association; Kuldeep Singh Taal; Prof. Shambhu Singh Jhala and Prof. Raghuveer Singh Chauhan – Dean PG Studies, BN University among others.

The program was anchored by Dr. Manisha Shekhawat in English and Lt. Shailja Ranawat in Hindi. Dr. Mohan Singh Rathod gave the Vote of Thanks at the end of the program.
