Vidya Samiksha Kendra

Rajasthan will become the eighth state in India to have a Vidya Samiksha Kendra. So far, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Jharkhand, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand have established these education review centers.

What is Vidya Samiksha Kendra?

The Ministry of Education is advocating for the creation of Vidya Samiksha Kendras (VSKs) nationwide under the National Digital Education Architecture (NDEAR). The aim is to oversee and monitor academic and non-academic endeavors at the state level, while also equipping administrators and educators with data-driven insights to make informed decisions in the field.

New Education Policy

These centers are part of the new education policy formulated in 2019. They function as database systems where every child's academic performance is studied in detail. This initiative aims to address local problems and departmental issues, reducing the need for common people, teachers, and children to travel to Jaipur. The centers will also focus on scholarships, uniforms, and textbooks.

A dedicated team will be stationed at each center, equipped with data from every school. Based on this information, the team will assess the academic situation of schools on a weekly and monthly basis. They will also compile data on both high-achieving students and those who need additional support. By understanding the home environment of these students, the centers aim to improve their academic performance. Additionally, data mapping of the schools and the local population will be conducted.

To meet future demands, the centers will engage with industrial groups to discuss new school developments and seek assistance in planning higher education institutions. The findings will be reported to the government.

Director of Primary and Secondary Education Sitaram Jat and Additional Project Officer Ashish Modi have been tasked with creating a roadmap for the new education policy in Rajasthan. Their responsibilities include new recruitments, promotions, capacity building, implementing transfer policies in line with teachers demands, and improving exam results.
