Meera Girls College will now be providing world class facilities to the students.  National Higher Education Mission (NHEM) will grant 2 crore rupees to the college through which facilities like virtual laboratory, video lectures etc. will be made available.

The students of the science faculty will witness live surgeries through virtual laboratory. They can also hear live lectures of national and international colleges. The college has taken a lease line from BSNL for WiFi and High speed internet. The college will have the benefit of 2MPDH internet speed all the time.

Meera Girls College will be equipped with 5 smart rooms. In these, the students will be able to read and download e-books from around the world. There will also be 2 DG sets for power back-up. Information Kiosks will also be installed through which informations about lectures, syllabus, scholarships and employment news will be made available. The kiosks will operate during college hours so as to make relevant information available on time.

NHEM head Dr. Deepak Maheshwari said that a part of the grant amount will be utilised in construction to the extent of 35% and same for renovation and upgradation. The other expenses to be carried out are: 5 lakhs on books, 3.50 lakhs on sports equipments and 30 lakhs on IT and computer equipments. The college has already received 1.50 cr. The seminar hall of the college is being converted to auditorium. The college has almost 6 thousand girl students out of which 80 percent from tribal areas.
