In the latest update from the Indian Institute of Management, the Udaipur branch (IIM- Udaipur) is scheduled to start its first session of Two Year Post Graduate Programme (PGP) for the academic year 2011-12 from July 25^th, 2011.

A committee has been appointed by the central government to accumulate all the basic facilities under the IIM’s strict measures.

The High Power Committee includes officers from MHRD, Dr. Janat Shah – Director of IIM-Udaipur and Additional Deputy Magistrate Ramjeevan Meena. The group consists of 12 members who will accomplish the task of providing basic infrastructure facilities to the institute, which is scheduled to commence its session at the Polymer Science Building located in University Campus.

“As of now, our full concentration is on the best method by which we will be able to provide our students the required facilities before the given deadline. We are a new start-up, so we do need some nurturing; right now we are trying to facilitate the fees procedure for our students. It will take us another 10-15 days to come up with a ground level team in an enhanced way,” said Dr. Janat Shah in a short interview with UdaipurTimes.com

Dr. Shah, who served as a faculty of IIM – Bangalore, has been given the responsibility to head the new IIM at Udaipur. A down to earth and impressive personality, he has also been voted the best teacher by MBA batch of 1999 by IIM-B.

He has been teaching operation management, supply chain management and project management at IIM-B.
