A workshop on ‘Geospatial Technology: Innovation and Application’ was organized today by Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and Geographical Department at MLSU seminar hall.

Chief Speaker of the inauguration ceremony, Director of Solar Observatory, P Venkatraman showcased the solar surface changes, solar gases and planetary chemical changes through power point presentation. He said that soon an association will be formed with the research work by geography and geology departments of MLSU.

Special Guest on the occasion, ESRI’s Regional Head, Ayush Dube informed about the working and technology behind world class Geographic Information Device.

Professor I V Trivedi emphasized that research and information collected from Geographical Information Device must be used for the betterment of general public.

Welcome speech was delivered by Professor I M Kayamkhani while the vote of thanks was delivered by Professor L C Khatri.
