A five day workshop on “Quality Management Standards and Quality Technology Tools” started at Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic College today. The workshop is organized by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research, Chandigarh.

Professor Hemant Sood of National institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research inaugurated the program and said that, “75 percent of youth have engineering degree or diploma but unfortunately their performance is not up-to-the-mark according to the industry’s requirement.”

Hence, the government of India has decided to train faculties of engineering and polytechnic under Quality Council of India.

Rahul Raj, North Region coordinator, National Council of Quality Management said that including industries, every field required quality as a priority. Students of technical studies will get multiple benefits from the quality management training and it will further benefit industries and the cost of hiring will cut.

Workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Chaturvedi, former dean of MLSU. Polytechnic teachers from Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Kota, Rajsamand and Udaipur are also participating in the workshop.
