A two day workshop on Radio Interferometry was jointly organized by Mohan Lal Shukhadia University, Udaipur and Ayuka Sandharbha Kendra at Amantra Hotel. About 50 students from Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat participated in the workshop.

A two day workshop on Radio Interferometry was jointly organized by Mohan Lal Shukhadia University, Udaipur and Ayuka Sandharbha Kendra at Amantra Hotel. About 50 students including from Udaipur and from Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat participated in the workshop.

On the first day of the workshop Prof. R. Ramesh briefed about technical whereabouts of Radio Astronomy and also discussed about the benefits of Radio waves. Prof S.N.A Jaffrey explained mathematical analysis and working of Two Element Radio Telescope.

Workshop on Radio Astronomy StartsProf. S.N.A Jaffrey also detailed Radio Astronomy and how one can extract clear images of stars, galaxies, etc. from Radio Interferometer.

In other sessions Inderjeet and Raja Lingam, scientists from Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru imparted technical information on data analysis of Radio Interferometry and Hands-On –Practice at College of Science, MLSU.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. B.L Ahuja, HOD, Earth Science, Prof. Ramesh, Director, Laboratory and Prof S.N.A Jaffrey on 16th May in the morning.
