Yash Gupta Won Gold Medal in Science Olympiad
Yash Gupta of St Gregorios School Udaipur has won the Gold medal in 7th International Junior Science Olympiad 2010 (IJSO) held in Nigerian capital Abuja from 2-11th Dec. There were 180 students from 35 countries participated in this annual international junior Olympiad for natural sciences.
Yash Gupta of St Gregorios School Udaipur has won the Gold medal in 7th International Junior Science Olympiad 2010 (IJSO) held in Nigerian capital Abuja from 2-11th Dec. There were 180 students from 35 countries participated in this annual international junior Olympiad for natural sciences.
India secured 2nd position with Russia. The 6 member Indian team was led by an IITian Paresh Krishankumar Joshi – faculty Homi Bhabha Centre for Science (HBCSE).
Yash Gupta, 15 year old student from St. Gregorios School Udaipur has made his way to IJSO by clearing two tough rounds where he was first selected with 300 students from all over India, out of that, 35 students reached to the final round, only 6 students made their way to IJSO 2010. Yash was one of those 6 brilliant students who represented India in one most prestigious and international level science Olympiad IJSO.
Yash is also pursuing training from Resonance Coaching Centre Udaipur, a private institute famed for IIT-JEE preparation exams. He was also succeeded in achieving First Stage of Junior Astronomy Olympiad.
All over, 3 gold and 3 silver medals won by Indian team in Abuja.
Students were led by Chandan Bhosale of Garodia International School and Ritesh Pandurang khunyakari of HBCSE
Gold for Yash Gupta – Udaipur, Aayush Sharma – Jaipur and Ashwin Sreenivas – Cochin
Harine Ravichandran – Chennai, Bharath Sivaram – Chennai and Sai Akhil Suggu – Guntur won silver medals in 7th International Junior Science Olympiad.
