Udaipur, March 18,2025 - Amitabh Bachchan has become India’s highest tax-paying celebrity for the financial year 2024-25. The 81-year-old actor paid Rs 120 crore in taxes, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan.

Amitabh Bachchan earned Rs 350 crore this year from films, brand endorsements, and the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. His tax payment saw a 69% rise from last year's Rs 71 crore. The actor paid his final advance tax instalment of Rs 52.5 crore on March 15, 2025.

Other Top Tax-Paying Celebrities

Last year, Shah Rukh Khan held the top spot, paying Rs 92 crore. This year, Amitabh Bachchan's tax payment was 30% higher. Other high tax-payers include Thalapathy Vijay Rs 80 crore and Salman Khan Rs 75 crore.
