Actor Rajiv Kapoor passed away today 9th Feb, he had a massive heart attack. Rajiv Kapoor aka Chimpu was legendary Raj Kapoor’s youngest son. He was also a film producer and director. Rajiv was 58.

His second film “Ram Teri Ganga Maili” was a blockbuster.  He made his debut in Bollywood in 1983 with “Ek Jaan Hain Hum” and turned producer by 1991 with film “Henna” with Rishi Kapoor his brother in the lead role. It may be noted that Rishi also passed away last year.

Chimpu was set to make a comeback in Ashutosh Gowarikar and Bhushan Kumar’s joint production titled “Toolsidas Junior”. The industry gathered at Chembur at Rajiv Kapoor’s residence. Karishma, Kareena, Ranbir, Neetu, Anu Kapoor etc. also arrived there.

Rajiv Kapoor attended the family’s annual Christmas lunch in 2020, where he was in good health. The untimely death as a result of cardiac arrest has shocked the Bollywood film industry.
