'Sikander' Box Office Verdict: Is It a Hit or Flop? Know the Full Report

Udaipur, April 5, 2025: Salman Khan’s film Sikandar was released with much excitement on Eid, a time that always brings high hopes for Bhaijaan’s fans. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the action-packed film had raised expectations among the audience. With its release last Sunday, all eyes were on the box office to see how well it would perform. So, how much did the makers manage to earn in the four days since its release? Let’s take a closer look at whether Sikandar is a hit or a flop.

Is the Khan Stardom Fading?

Many people believe that the stardom of Bollywood’s famous Khan trio is slowly fading. Their recent box office performances speak for themselves. Aamir Khan’s films Thugs of Hindostan and Laal Singh Chaddha were major flops. Salman Khan’s movies are also not doing well one after another.

Salman Khan’s latest film, Sikandar, is also facing a tough time. Though it was released with great fanfare during Eid, the film’s earnings have dropped every day since its release. In comparison, Salman’s Tiger 3, which was released in 2023, earned ₹148.50 crore in its first weekend. But Sikandar is far behind.

All-Star Cast Couldn’t Save It

Sikandar is an action-packed drama that was released just before Eid, on a Sunday. Rashmika Mandanna stars opposite Salman Khan, while South superstar Sathyaraj plays the villain. The film has all the ingredients—action, emotion, drama, and romance. Still, from the second day, shows started getting cancelled due to low audience turnout.

Producer’s Efforts' Not Paying Off

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is trying hard to promote Sikandar and turn it into a hit. But the numbers tell a different story. The film earned ₹26 Cr on its opening day, which is very low for a film made on a ₹200 Cr budget. Even the Eid holiday on Monday couldn’t help much, with the film earning only ₹29Cr that day.

Day-Wise Collection Breakdown

  • Day 1 (Sunday): ₹26 Cr

  • Day 2 (Monday/Eid): ₹29 cr

  • Day 3 (Tuesday): ₹19.50 Cr

  • Day 4 (Wednesday): ₹9.75 Cr

  • Day 5 (Thursday): ₹6 Cr

So far, Sikandar has earned ₹ 90.25 Cr in five days, which is disappointing, considering the hype.

Worse Than ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’?

The situation is slightly better than Salman’s earlier film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which earned just ₹68.17 crore in its opening weekend. That film made only ₹15.81 crore on its opening day.
