Filmfare Awards 2023: Film "Gangubai Kathiawadi"and "Badhaai Do"bags the Best Film Award

Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress and Rajkumar Rao won the Best Actor award

Last night Bollywood’s 68th Filmfare Awards were held. The films which ruled the awards list were Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Harshavardhan Kulkarni’s Badhaai Do.  Gangubai Kathiawadi won 10 trophies including some of the biggest awards of the night like Best Director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Best Actress for Alia Bhatt. Rajkumar Rao won Best Actor Award for his performance in Badhaai Do and Tabu  for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhumi Pednekar for Badhaai Do shared award for the Best Actress (Critics).

Sanjay Mishra won the Best Actor prize for his performance in Vadh in the critics category. Prem Chopra was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Likewise, the Best Debut (Male) Award was won by Jhund actor Ankush Gedam and Andrea Kevichusa won the Best Debut (Female) Award.

  • Best Debut (Male): Ankush Gedam for Jhund
