The city of Udaipur has always been a love of film-makers. The latest addition in the list of movies shot in the city is a Hollywood film in the making, ‘The Million Dollar Arm’. It is currently being shot at Gangaur Ghat.

The movie, from Walt Disney Productions, is based on a reality TV show which was created four years ago in USA by J.B.Bernstein. Bernstein is also the central character of the movie.

In the show, the organizers looked for baseball talent. Indian locals were also given a chance to participate in it and two people (out of 37000 contestants in India), Rinku Singh and Dinesh Kumar Patel, were selected and trained in Los Angles. Singh was awarded $1 million for winning the contest.

Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi fame) and Madhur Mittal (who played Salim in Slumdog) will play the characters of Rinku and Dinesh in the movie.

The shooting immediately attracted the attention of the locals who thronged the location. It will continue in Udaipur till 4^th June.
