March 7, 2025 – Jaipur has already started seeing the glitterati from Bollywood descending upon the city as it gears up for the three-day IIFA Awards 2025 event starting from today. The IIFA Awards will be held at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) in Sitapura and preparations for the event are nearing completion.
According to the Jaipur airport administration, more than 100 Bollywood celebrities are expected to arrive in Jaipur by March 9. Most of them will be coming on regular flights, while some big stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, will land in chartered planes.
Special security arrangements have been made at the airport to ensure smooth passage for the stars. Upon the celebrities' arrival at the airport, security corridors are being set up to escort them directly to the porch, ensuring they can reach their hotels and venues quickly.
Madhuri Dixit, Abhishek Banerjee, Vijay Varma, and Aparshakti Khurana were among the stars spotted at the airport yesterday.
A kiosk has been set up in the Arrivals section, with an IIFA trophy on display. Celebrities have been seen taking photos with the trophy.
This year the IIFA Awards is special because it is celebrating a milestone year - 25 glorious years. As a result, the awards function this year has been spread out over three days to include more landmark events other than the usual awards night.
The show kicked off with a star-studded press conference in Mumbai. Big Bollywood names were present at the media meet, including Shah Rukh Khan, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar.
Today, March 7, a talk show titled “The Journey of Women in Cinema” will be held at 8:30 pm in a hotel as part of IIFA Awards 2025. Actress Madhuri Dixit and film producer Guneet Monga will be the main speakers at the event which will be moderated by Noreen Khan.
Tomorrow, March 8 a press conference will be held followed by the inaugural edition of the IIFA Digital Awards.
The grand finale of the 25th edition of the IIFA Awards 2025 celebration will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025. The event will also mark the 50th anniversary celebration of the iconic film Sholay. The evening will feature a special screening of the film and its legendary cast of Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra will be honoured. The evening will conclude with the awards ceremony.
