The blockbuster film “Kalki 2898 AD” has reached a major milestone, surpassing Rs 1000 crore in worldwide box office collections. On its 16th day in theatres, the science-fiction mythological epic, starring Prabhas, earned Rs 5.2 crore in India. This brings its total domestic earnings to Rs 548 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Despite facing competition from “Indian 2”  in the South and “Sarfira” in the North, “Kalki 2898 AD” has continued to perform well.  The film is expected to reach Rs 550 crore in India by Saturday. By Sunday, it should surpass the lifetime domestic collections of “Animal”, which stands at Rs 553 crore. 

This success marks a significant comeback for Prabhas, solidifying “Kalki 2898 AD” as an epic blockbuster.
