At the same time, due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the makers of Sunny Deol’s film Lahore 1947 are now trying to keep their movie away from any controversy. Not just this film, Kajol’s Sarzameen is also being included in the same context.

Big Changes Possible in Lahore 1947

Sunny Deol, who has worked in many patriotic films like Border, Maa Tujhe Salaam, and Gadar, will soon be seen in Aamir Khan’s production Lahore 1947. The impact of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and Operation Sindoor is now being seen in films based on the India-Pakistan backdrop.

Meetings Begin for Lahore 1947 Team

According to a report by Jagran’s Mumbai correspondent, meetings have started between the team of Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. This film is based on the time of the India-Pakistan partition. The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, who has earlier worked with Sunny Deol in hit films like Damini, Ghayal, and Ghatak.

Sarzameen Makers Also Hold Discussions

Similarly, meetings have also started for the film Sarzameen, which stars Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Ibrahim Ali Khan. This film also mentions Pakistan and is based on the backdrop of Kashmir. It is planned for release on May 30. Before that, some parts of the film are being dubbed again. The shooting of both films is already complete.

When Will Lahore 1947 Release in Theaters?

Apart from Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, Lahore 1947 also features Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal in key roles. Actors from Taare Zameen Par may also play important parts.

The film started shooting in February 2024 and was completed by August. Earlier, the makers wanted to release the movie on January 26, but due to delays in post-production, this was not possible. Now, the film is expected to release in June 2025, though the final release date is yet to be confirmed.
