The latest episode of the YouTube show Ram-Ram Udaipur recently aired on Youtube. The show ‘Ram-Ram Udaipur’ is an initiative by Bindaas Community Media Academy in Mewari language. The youth team in Bindaas Media want to use filmmaking as a tool for positive social change.

Ram Ram Udaipur brings to the forefront people in the city of Udaipur who are attempting to bring positive social, cultural and environmental changes to Udaipur. Besides that, they also try to bring back things that which, though are in our traditions, we are forgetting. Lastly, the show also tries to engage the general opinion of the local people on hot-topics related to the development of Udaipur society.

The new episode features the inspiring journey of Ms. Jaya Bhavsar and Ms. Ruchi Verma, who run Sankalp physiotherapy centre for the treatment of physically-disabled children. Also featured are Sunny Gandhrva and Manoj Prajapat, from the popular Millets of Mewar, who share a fusion vegetable kebab recipe made using traditional millets. Lastly, the show takes an audience poll on the Fateh Sagar ki Fainsla on whether Old Age Homes should be developed in the city.

Director Santosh Padwal describes his bigger dream, “We want to promote a local film industry in every city of India, starting with Udaipur.” The show is a hope for many aspiring filmmakers and actors in Udaipur.
