Urban Development Department has sanctioned 197 lakh rupees to UIT for musical fountain and theme based light and sound show in Rajiv Gandhi Park. A proposal was sent for this purpose to UDD for administrative and financial acceptance by UIT in April this year.

Now that UDD has approved the proposal of UIT for the development of Rajiv Gandhi Park, UIT has begun the tender process for this work. Tenders will open on 22^nd June. UIT is also in the process of starting a similar project in Vibhuti Park at Fatehsagar pal.

If Vibhuti Park project is also approved, then Udaipur city will have 3 public parks operating musical fountain. One such musical fountain is already operating in Din Dayal Upadhaya Park at Dudh Talai.
