Rhea becomes the tenth person to be arrested in the case. Her brother Showik, Sushant's former cook Dipesh Sawant and former housekeeper Samuel Miranda have already been arrested.

In a fresh turn of event, the Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested Rhea Chakraborty along with three others while exploring the investigation into the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The NCB will file a plea with the court at 7:30pm today through video conferencing, seeking her police remand.

The arrest was made today afternoon, after Rhea filed a case against two of Sushant's sisters late yesterday evening. A case of abetment to suicide was filed by Rhea's lawyer. This complaint accused the sisters of giving Sushant bogus prescriptions to access anxiety medicines. This case has been transferred to CBI.

"Three central agencies hounding a single woman just because she was in love with a drug addict who was suffering from mental health issues for several years under the care of five leading psychiatrists in Mumbai, who ended up committing suicide due to consumption of illegally administered medicines and used drugs" - Satish Maneshinde, lawyer of Rhea Chakraborty.

Meanwhile, the NCB's arrest of Rhea along with others has been followed by the four accused being sent for medical tests before the NCB produces them before court. The NCB is expected to file a please before court, seeking police remand for all four. Rhea will be confronted with the others and a possible lead into the cartel may be uncovered. The NCB has arrested Rhea on the basis of WhatsApp chats and statements of other accused. This has led her lawyer to call this arrest a "travesty of justice"
