Srajan The Spark, an NGO dedicated to promotion of classical music and ghazals around the world has been helping people fight Covid-19 in its own way. Since the initial days of the lock down it has been organising Music and Ghazal programs on Facebook Live.

It has organized more than 50 plus programs so far and still continuing to do so. People all over the world have been watching the program and number of views on its page has crossed more than 7 lakhs so far. Chief Patron Prasanna Khamesra has been instrumental in promoting the new artists as well as bringing in the established people on the platform. He has been assisted by Program Coordinator Dinesh Kataria and Hon. Secretary Kishore Kumar Pahuja.

Rajesh Khamesra, President of Srajan The Spark said that the artists on the live program participate from all over the world, viz. United Kingdom, Canada, India, etc. The programs onf FB Live have been comprising of all genres like Bollywood songs, Ghazals, Classical dances, etc. Srajan’s patrons are the who’s who of the music and art world.

A program was organized where they also performed for the viewers. These included Shailesh Lodha, Percussionist Shivmani AKA as Drum Shivmani, Ghazal Mastero Rajkumar Rizvi, Ustad Ahmed Hussain and Ustad Mohd Hussain, Ronu Majumadar, among others. The audience were overwhelmed with the performance of these celebrity patrons of Srajan.

Srajan recently organized ‘Bhajan Sarita’ on Guru Purnima where Anup Jalota, Pandit Ramdev Sharma and Hussain Bros gave an unforgettable rendition of bhajans.

Other artists who have performed on the Srajan platform include Sujata Trivedi, Devendra Singh Hiran, Mohd Vakil, Ahmed Raza, Anil Srivastava, Mahesh Moyal, Divya Ravi, Don Mistry, Payal Ramchandani, Anil Oberoi, Pallavi Vijay, Olindia Das, etc to name a few.

The FB Live event is being conducted on an ongoing basis and have been liked and loved by audience all over the world. Srajan The Spark started in 2013 and in a short span has its chapters in Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jhunjhunu, Hyderabad, Delhi, Uttrakhand, Rajkot, Canada, UK, UAE and the USA.
