Udaipur bids adieu to International Film Festival
The first Udaipur International Film Festival 2012 organized under the joint collaboration of WZCC and Celebration Mall held its second and last day today. It concluded with colorful events at Darpan Auditorium, Shilpgram.

The poster of next year’s Film Festival was also unveiled. Many of the artists presented cultural performances for the audience.
10 movies were showcased today for the audience who came more in number than the first day of the event.
The concluding ceremony of the event started at 6.30 PM where T.C. Damor, I.G., Hanu Roj, Director, International Film Festival and others were present. T.C. Damor said, “The involvement of the youth indicates that this was a successful initiative and they also have learnt a lot from this event”.
Hanu Roj, said, “The event is parting with positive vibes. The event next year would also be having a Life Time Achievement Award and would be on a competition basis”.
A Script Writing Workshop was organized in the afternoon where Gaurav Panjwani, Filmmaker addressed 40 contestants and shared tits-n-bits of Script Writing and difference between a Script and Novel. He pointed out the fact that – no script can be prepared in one draft; writing it again-n-again is a natural and standard procedure. He also shed light on Dialogue Writing & Screenplay.
Whilst all this, a seminar on – 100 Years of Indian Cinema was organized at Celebration Mall from 3 to 4 PM. Gaurav Panjwani, Director informed the audience about the different cinemas produced in different phases of Bollywood. Manik Arya, Director, Aakashwani said, “Cinema is a medium to portray Society’s face in front of us”.
The Film Festival concluded with Meharjaan, in which Jaya Bacchan played a part. Movies from countries including India, Iraq, Georgia, Ireland, Russia and Bangladesh were showcased at Darpan Auditorium. Son of Babylon, Mombatti, Mehrooni, Camera, 1937 and The April Chill got the major attention amongst all others.
The Road Home, Mary Time Silk Road were showcased at Celebration Mall. The visitors praised the exhibition titled ‘100 Years of Indian Cinema’ at Shilpgram and Celebration Mall.
