Udaipur’s theatre/drama artist Dev Prabha Joshi has bagged a role in Bollywood movie “Patakha”. It may be noted that few scenes of the movie have been filmed in Udaipur.

“Patakha” is based on a story by Rajasthan’s famous story writer Charan Singh Pathik. Dev Prabha is playing the role of mother of the leading actress Sanya Malhotra (Dangal fame) in this movie. She is a part of Natyansh theatre in Udaipur.

As per Dev Prabha, acting in this Bollywood movie was a big opportunity for her. The story required someone to play a young mother and she was selected in the audition. Dev Prabha said that initially she was quite nervous but after her shots, her work was praised by the director himself. The film is scheduled for release on 28^th September.
