With a whopping 2.83 Billion views, the South Korean production, Gangnam Style is the most viewed song in the history of Youtube. The video amongst its followers includes likes of Robbie Williams, Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Tom Cruise.

Gangnam Style is a musical video by South Korean recording artist Psy. Directed by Cho Soo-hyun and produced jointly by Cho Soo-hyun and Park Jae-sang, the video was filmed in Seoul for 48 straight hours.

In this musical video, Psy is seen poking fun at the lifestyle of Seoul’s flashy district, Gangnam-gu that has high rent, is high on expectations and focuses on a high-status lifestyle. Premiered in July 2015, the video was available for digital download in Oct 2012 and just in December 2012, it became the first to hit the one billion views mark on YouTube and surpassed 2 Billion by June 2014.

In contrast, the most viewed Hindi song ever on Youtube is Nashe Si Chadh Gayi from Befikre with 234 million views. This song was also the fastest Hindi movie video to cross the 200 million mark on YouTube.
