War 2 OTT Release: Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR Blockbuster Set for Digital Premiere, Know When and Where to Watch

Mumbai, Sept 16 2025: The biggest film of 2025, War 2, was released in theatres last month. It is the sequel to the blockbuster War released in 2019. The first film starred Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor along with Hrithik Roshan, but in the sequel, South superstar Jr NTR plays the lead role opposite Hrithik.

YRF’s spy thriller War 2, directed by Ayan Mukherjee, got a mixed response from both the audience and critics. The film was made on a big budget, but the earnings were not as expected. After running for a month in theatres, the film is now getting ready to release on OTT.

On Which OTT Will War 2 Release?

Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s film was released in theatres on August 14. At that time, there was no big Bollywood film in competition, but Rajinikanth’s Coolie gave it tough competition. War 2 earned ₹200 crore in the first week, but later the pace became very slow. Moving away from the path of becoming a superhit, the film is now ready for its OTT release.

According to reports, the streaming rights of War 2 are with Netflix. This means that after leaving theatres, it will stream on Netflix. The exact date is not announced yet, but the film is expected to release on OTT between 25 September and 9 October.

Was War 2 a Hit or a Flop?

War 2 is the sixth film of the YRF Spy Universe, and expectations were very high. A total of ₹325 crore was spent on the film, but it did not earn that much in India. As per a Koimoi report, the makers recovered only 75% of the cost. The film’s net collection in India is ₹244.29 crore, while the worldwide gross is ₹371.26 crore. In this situation, the film is considered average.
