Flower show is engaging the city’s attention at Fatehsagar pal. There are more than a 100 plus varieties of flowers in the show. Spreading fragrance, these beautiful flowers are attracting the tourists as well.

The 10 day flower show was inaugurated by Governor of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh OP Kohli. There are 40 stalls of flowers and more than 100 varieties of flowers are on display. The entire Fatehsagar pal looks like it is covered with a sheet of colours.

UIT Chairman Ravindra Shrimali and Garden Consultant Subodh Lodha gave out the specifications of the various species of flowers. More than 10 thousand plants will be given away in this 10 day flower show. Governor Kohli was overwhelmed by this beautiful spread over of flowers. He went through observing the flowers in a golf cart and enjoyed the beautiful decorations at the pal.

UIT, Municipal Corporation, PWD, Hotels, Educational Institutes and some industrial groups have also put up their stalls. It is quite surprising that this year people who have developed in-house- gardens did not participate in the flower show like before. When the show began in 2014, many people had participated displaying their own plants… but they were missing this year.

Roses, marigold, poinsettia, petunia, dianthus, pansy, grafted cactus, lilium, butterfly, gloxinia, impatiens, anthurium, gerbera, chrysanthemum etc. are adding a fantastic look to this flower show.

Collector Mallick, UIT Secretary Ram Nivas Mehta, ADM City Subhash Chandra Mehta and BL Kothari were also present during inauguration.
