In the Amul Vidya Award ceremony organised by The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF) held today at the Shukadia Auditorium in Town Hall, 146 topper students of both 10^th and 12^th Class were honoured; students of Government as well as Private Schools of Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Rajsamand were included in the program.

In the award ceremony today, students of 10^th and 12^th Class from Government and Private Schools were honoured for their academic excellence.

SSC toppers were awarded with ‘Amul Vidyashree’, whereas HSC students were given ‘Amul Vidyabhushan’, comprising of a Trophy, Gift Hamper of Books and Certificate of Excellence.

According to Santosh Kumar, Branch Manager of Amul Udaipur, more than 60% aggregate score was considered to be initial eligibility for the participation in award.

Around 40,000 merit rankers of academic session 2012-13 applied for the award, which was shortlisted on the basis of aggregate marks; motto behind the ceremony is to boost brilliance of students.

In case of HSC, student topper of each stream Science, Commerce and Arts were awarded, added Santosh Kumar.
