15 married couples of Maheshwari community performed Samuhik Tulsi Vivah (Wedding of Tulsi) a religious ritual to symbolize peace and prosperity.

This first mass event was organized by Maheshwari Mahila Mandal, Hiran Magri which also included a procession consisting of all the Hindu wedding rituals.

The program was conducted at Mahesh Seva Samiti, Hiran Magri where 15 married couples performed Tulsi Vivah in a beautifully decorated podium.

Participating couples held the plant of Tulsi and conducted marriage rituals in presence of Hindu priest. According to sources,the ritual is also performed by couples who wish to have girl child.

Procession carrying idol of Lord Krishna was started from Shiv Mandir to Mahesh Seva Samiti. Program that started from morning 9 continued till 2 in the afternoon with community lunch.
