15th Urs of Mastan Baba begins Today
The 15th Urs of Muslim spiritual saint Mastan Baba began today with lifting of religious flag over the saint’s shrine located near Rani Road, Udaipur. Sajjad Nasheen Zulfikari Chishti from Ajmer Sharif Dargah offered the holy chadar on the shrine of Mastan Baba.
The 15th Urs of Muslim spiritual saint Mastan Baba began today with lifting of religious flag over the saint’s shrine located near Rani Road, Udaipur. Sajjad Nasheen Zulfikari Chishti from Ajmer Sharif Dargah offered the holy chadar on the shrine of Mastan Baba.
The devotees from nearby places, including the local communities took part in the procession that started from Mulla Talai Masjid and ended on the shrine of Mastan Baba.
Various religious ceremonies will be conducted as a part of traditional rituals during Urs of sufi saints. The Urs is organized for 4 days and will continue till January 11, 2012.
While, hundreds of devotees visited their master, the workers and servicemen at the shrine were gifted with clothes etc. Vice President of the SC/ST Commission Dinesh Tarwadi also visited the Urs and offered a chadar on behalf of CM Ashok Gehlot.
Rajkumari Menaria, Sanjay Manwani and Ravindra Pal Singh also attended the Urs function and offered chadar. Guests and senior members of Mastan Baba Trust were gifted with shawls.
