The Farm Fair which is organized by District Administration is scheduled for 25^th February at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at Bedla,. Around 2000 farmers from across district will be participating. These farmers would be provided with Seeds, Natural and Chemical Fertilizers.

According to Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar, District Collector, Udaipur, “Major concentration is on cultivation of Vegetables. The research organized by district administration suggests that post and pre cultivation of Wheat and Mustard is not very cost effective for farmers. On the other hand, Vegetables can yield more money if cultivated.”

Pednekar further added that this year other farming options like Animal Husbandry, Floriculture and Poultry Farming are also included. Moreover, this year presentations and problem handling wil be done by farmers themselves. Around 150 farmers across district are shortlisted for the same.

Pednekar also informed that all the participating farmers would be provided with required seeds and fertilizers, while there are no criteria of land specification. Farmers with a smaller piece of land can also avail the benefits.
