2-day “Malhar” fest begins on 8th September
"Malhar" fest on 8th and 9th September in Darpan Sabhagar.
Classical music and dance fest “Malhar” will begin in Shilpgram on 8th September. WZCC centre Director Furqan Khan informed that the fest will have three different styles of classical dance as the main attraction of the programme.
The Director also said that India has a unique way of describing every season. Be it any season, winter or spring, the artists present the beauty of each season through music, dance, sculptures and painting. Monsoon season has been described in Indian art and literature in a magnificent way. “Malhar” has a special place in art. WZCC has presented “Malhar” based on classical music and classical dance.
The fest will take place in Darpan Sabhagar in Shilpgram. Day one will have classical dance by teams from Kerala and Odisha. Day 2 is the day for classical music by Pune’s singer Savani followed by Kathak performance by Dr. Kavita Thakur from Delhi. Entry to the fest is free.
