Udaipur World Music Festival

Udaipur, January 30, 2025 - The highly anticipated seventh edition of the Udaipur World Music Festival will be held from February 7 to 9. Organised by the Rajasthan Government’s Tourism Department, Sahar, and Hindustan Zinc Limited, the theme of this festival is Preserving and Promoting Forgotten Musical Instruments like the Sarangi and the Traditions of Rajasthan.

Entry to this event will be free for everyone, making it a unique cultural experience for all.

More than 22 international bands from over 15 countries, including Argentina, Iran, Sweden, Spain, Ivory Coast, Kurdistan, Germany, Hungary and Reunion Island, will perform in the city. Many of these artists will be performing in India for the first time. Along with them, popular Indian music personalities like Shaan, Karsh Kale, Kanika Kapoor and Faridkot will also be a part of the festival. This event promises to be an unforgettable experience for music lovers not only from India but from around the world.

The Udaipur World Music Festival will be held at three locations in Udaipur. The festival will begin with meditation sessions on February 8 and 9 from 8 am to 10 am at Manji ka Ghat. The stunning views of the City Palace, Jag Mandir and heritage hotels will make these sessions especially beautiful during sunrise.

Following this, afternoon sessions will be held on the Fateh Sagar boulevard from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on both the days, where attendees can enjoy romantic music while sitting by the lake. Evening performances will conclude at Gandhi Ground, where high-energy performances will be presented from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on all three days.

Sanjiv Bhargava, founder of Sahar, highlighted the importance of this event, saying, "Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival is a unique celebration of musical diversity. It provides a platform for both traditional and modern artists to connect with audiences from around the world through their art and create memorable experiences. This festival showcases the power of music to bring cultures together and break down barriers."
