31st MMFA announces National, International Awards

The event, which is organized by the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, will take place at the Manak Chowk of The City Palace. Shreeji Arvind Singh Mewar, the Maharaja of Udaipur, will present the awards to the selected recipients, while Rashtrakavi Balkavi Beraagi will preside over the award ceremony.

The event, which is organized by the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, will take place at the Manak Chowk of The City Palace. Shreeji Arvind Singh Mewar, the Maharaja of Udaipur, will present the awards to the selected recipients, while Rashtrakavi Balkavi Beraagi will preside over the award ceremony.

He will be honored for his work on research and writing on Indian paintings, especially of Rajasthan. His work has provided direction and guidance to many national and international scholars and researchers as well.

This National Honor is given to those who help in sustaining the pluralism of communal harmony, patriotism, national unity and integrity of our country.

The Maharana Udai Singh Honor this year will go to Dr. Parth Sarathi Roy, dDirector of Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) for his services rendered in the field of preservation and enhancement of the environment. He is being honored for his research in Flora and Fauna and climate along with the graphical representation of the same. He is the first one to use the Indian Satellite Sensing concept.

Dr. Prakash Amet and Dr. Mandakini Amet will be presented the Pannadhay Honor. People who go out of their way to do some noble work are presented with this honor. The couple left their comfortable urban life and settled in a remote forest place called Hemalkasa in Maharashtra to help Madiya Gond, a local tribe with education and development and to connect them to the main stream society.
