In order to celebrate the festival of colors – Holi, Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation has organized a 4-day (23-26 March) program including a painting exhibition and workshop at Sabhashiromani Ka Darikhana.

In order to celebrate the festival of colors – Holi, Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation has organized a 4-day (23-26 March) Holika Dahan program including a painting exhibition and workshop at Sabhashiromani Ka Darikhana.

To encourage Indian Classical Music, arrangements have also been made for tourists to learn more about traditional musical instruments, especially the ones used during the festival of Holi.

This is the first time in last 150 years that Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) has come up with this sort of an initiative. The initiative is being run under the directions of Shree Arvind Singhji Mewar, managing trustee and president of the foundation.

Bhupendra Singh Ahuwa, chief secretary of MMCF said that, the motive of foundation behind this special program on Holi is to bring out the works in traditional painting and various Raagas to art aficionados.

Under the coordination of Aditi Babel, an artist based in Udaipur, a painting exhibition cum workshop “Rang” will be held at Sabhashiromani Ka Darikhana on 23rd March, Saturday. The art of Molela, Kaanch & Thikri, miniature painting etc will be presented by artists. Rang will be continue till 25th March from 10:30am-4:30pm.

Similarly, a painting exhibition at Zanana Mahal’s Exhibit Gallery will be organized under the coordination of Mumbai based artist Ushat Gulgule till 26th March.

On 23rd March at evening 6:30, Kathak Artist Swati Sinha will present dance program at historical Manak Chowk.

On 24th March, Sunday, morning at 5:30 am, Pandit Ramkrishna Bose will play Santoor and Mamta Sharma will present Indian Classical Music at Khushmahal complex. On the same day evening, music and dance performance will be presented by Shavati Mandal Paul at Manak Chowk.

On 25th March, at 6:30pm, dance-play based on Holi by Jaikishan Maharaj and group will be showcased at Manak Chowk

On 26th March, Holika Dahan will be conducted at Manak Chowk.
