The 4th convocation of Jaipur National University, Jaipur was held on March 30, 2013 (Saturday) at the main campus of the university. In total 1505 degrees were awarded to Undergraduate, Postgraduate, M.Phil and PhD student passouts.

The Chief guest Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Namo Narain Meena.

Meena, while addressing the gathering informed the audience that, the Indian higher education system is one of the largest in the world in terms of the number of colleges and universities.

And in order to properly provide the Indian citizens with quality education and meet the rising demand of the masses, the Government is expanding the infrastructure of higher education through Public Private Partnership (PPP) and congratulated Jaipur National University for being a shining example of what can be achieved through the PPP initiative.

Sandeep Bakshi, Hon’ble Chairperson, Board of Management, Jaipur National University presided over the 4th convocation ceremony.On this auspicious occasion, he said that it’s a proud moment for the JNU fraternity to host the 4th Convocation.

4th Convocation concludes at JNU

Degrees were provided to 1505 students belonging from Engineering, Management, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Education, Hotel Management, Computer Science and Mass media courses.

Among the 1505 Degree holders 50 students were awarded Ph.D Degrees. 44 meritorious students received gold medals for their zealous effort put in by them in their respective courses. The students who have won Genius Award were also felicitated on this grand occasion. Scholarships and awards were also given to the meritorious students.

Prof. K.L. Sharma, Vice-chancellor of Jaipur National University, presented the annual report of the university highlighting the developments and achievements of the university in the last one year.

Prof. H.N. Verma, Pro Vice-chancellor of Jaipur National University, was of the opinion that it was a matter of immense pride and pleasure to be a part among the distinguished dignitaries and thanked the distinguished guests and the JNU fraternity for their support and cooperation.
