Fateh Sagar is set to witness the largest collective rendition of Vande Matram on Nov 8 when 50,000 students are expected to congregate. The event is organised by Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation.

The Fatehsagar promenade (“Paal”) is set to host the students. It is also expected that Indian flags will be waved high around the lake and also on the Neemuch Maata hill.

Central Defence Minister, Manohar Parikkar will be the Chief Guest on the occasion. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will preside over the event. State home minister Gulab Chand Kataria, Kiran Maheshwari, Businessman Salil Singhal, Prince Lakshya Raj Singh Mewar and other notable people from the city will also be present.

Manohar Parikar will arrive at 9:40am and will preside over the event from 10:30am till 11:30am. Noted composers Kalyanji Anandji and Babla Shah will sing patriotic songs.

The collective rendition is expected at 11:15 am.
