53rd Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh to showcase classical artists on 16th-18th Jan

Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Parishad’s 53rd Annual classical event Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh will take place from 16th to 18th January at Railway training school’s auditorium.

Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Parishad’s 53rd Annual classical event Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh will take place from 16th to 18th January at Railway training school’s auditorium. With over 50 artists, musicians and their group, this musical event will enchant the city with its classical touch.

Honorary Secretary Dr. Yashwant Singh Kothari said that on 16th January, Shehnai player Pt. Dayashanker from Delhi will grace the occasion. After him, musician Pt. Kumar Gandharv’s daughter Kalapini Komalki of Dewas (MP) will present the classical vocals.

On the next day, Mumbai’s Ajay Pahunkar will present classical music. New Delhi’s eminent danseuse Devyani with her troupe will enthrall the audience with her Bharatanatyam dance.

On 18th January, Raipur’s famous artist Dr. Yasmin Singh and troupe will present Kathak recital.

Parishad’s Exec. Chairman S.S Ranawat informed that the commencement of the musical event goes way back when musical maestro and singer Late Pt. Onkarnath Thakur presented his recital 53 years from now. This musical event is not only for music lovers but a platform for all the classical musicians and artists to pay tribute to the legend and spread awareness about this art form.
