National Scout-Guide Mini Jamboree has begun commemorating the 150^th birth anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Mini Jamboree aims towards making the masses aware of the culture and traditions of tribes. The 5-day event will witness the confluence of tribal scouts and guides from around the country.

Around 1400 scouts and guides from Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Dadar Haveli, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sirohi, Haryana, Bihar and Jharkhand railway are participating in this Mini Jamboree. There will be presentations on the culture and tradition, food habits, no-plastic bags, staying away from intoxicants, save girl child and girl’s education, water conservation, and service towards the old and aged and the divyangs. Skill development will also be a part of this event.

In this tribal jamborette, the scouts and guides will also introduce the people with their traditional food in the food plaza. They will also bring forth the development of their regions in the global development village. On Wednesday a big rally will be organised focussing on Dandi Yatra with banners, placards and slogans. The rally will begin from Municipal Corporation premises.
