State’s first major wrestling entertainment show, Encounter’18 saw a good turnout with an estimated 8000-10000 people enjoying the punches and acrobats shown by wrestlers from India and abroad. As expected, The Great Khali’s entry into the ring served as the show-stopper event.

The event started at around 8pm with the Desert Band putting up a performance. This was followed by wrestling matches between Indian and international stars. The fights between female wrestlers and their jaw dropping moves were one of the key highlights of the event.

In an interesting episode, a male fighter wearing a burqa was seen fighting in a women’s match. His identity was revealed after he was hit by punches from his female counterparts and burqa opened up. WWE diva Katie Forbes won the women’s heavyweight fight.
