Seedling Modern public School celebrated Independence Day with great pomp and splendour. Since it was the 75th Independence Day, the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was celebrated in a grand fashion with a week long activities.
Any country that has been under the reign of a foreign government will surely know what life is like in that scenario and also the need for freedom. All those countries which have gained their independence from the rule of the foreign government would know for real how significant it is and hence commemorate the occasion.
A special assembly was conducted on 15th August by Grade 10 students wherein Director of the school, Hardeep Bakshi; Principal Keerti Maken and members of the management unfurled the National Flag and hoisted it followed by the National Anthem.
The following activities were conducted throughout the week instilling patriotism within each and every individual, be it students, parents, staff or management:
Class 1 students did a phenomenal job by singing the patriotic song , Class 2 recited poetry imbued with the feeling of nationalism, Students of class 4, 7 & 8 conducted the quiz programme on independence, Classes 5 & 6 presented a Tricolor competition. Also Children of grade 5 to 8 drew colorful posters with varying hues displaying joy of independence day. Rangoli competition too captivated the attention of everyone designed by the students from classes 7 to 9.
The senior classes of CBSE and CAIE put together an act of how various freedom fighters fought the British army and sacrificed themselves to free India. The brilliant act managed to bring everyone to the brink of tears. Students brought out their creativity, imagination and oratory skills through speeches and declamations along with the songs and dances that accentuated the uniqueness embedded in the spirit of our country.
The toppers of X Navya Kothari, Shaurya Babel & Vishesh Aggarwal & Dsitrict Level Topper of XII Ridhi Suthar were felicitated.
Rushal Suthar who was recently felicitated by Defence Minister Shri Raj Nath Singh for his self composed poem under Veer Gatha Award. The Director &Principal of the school motivated the students to come forward as responsible citizens and contribute in the progress of nation.
