-13th edition of Aero India show from 3rd Feb to 5th Feb.

-Kempegowda International airport will be partially shut down for the air show.

It is time for another great event, a spine thrilling event and it is none other than Aero India 2021. The biennial air show and aviation expo will be held in Bengaluru from 3rd Feb’21 to 5th Feb’21 at Air Force Station, Yelahanka.

The Aero India show demands for the airport to be shut down every year. Even this year, the Kempegowda International Airport will be partially shut down for a week. The partial closure will begin on 30th January and will continue until 5th February. It may be noted that the partial closure of the international airport ranges from 3 hours to 6 hours.

The Aero India show is the first ever Aero India virtual exhibition to be held on an indigenously developed virtual platform which is now available on both Android and IOS platforms.

The first edition of the show was held in 1996. The show in 2021 will be the 13th edition of the Aero India show.  The inaugural ceremony will be held on 3rd Feb between 9:30 a.m.-10:15 a.m. by the Hon’ble Defence Minister of India. This will be followed by flying display, inauguration of India Pavilion at Aero India -21, seminars, etc.

The programmes for 4th Feb and 5th Feb will begin by 9 a.m. and end by 5 p.m. Apart from this 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on 5th Feb has been decided for the Valedictory function of Aero India which will be presided over by Hon’ble President of India. Seminars will also be held from 3rd Feb to 5th Feb at Convention Centre, Expo Venue.

According to the guidelines, a covid test is mandatory for those staying in Karnataka for over 48 hours and an exemption and quarantine is applicable for those on a 48 hour stay or for those with a covid negative RT-PCR report.
