The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY) is a voluntary movement that is aimed at creating and reinforcing awareness and pride about our cultural heritage in youth. The most accomplished artists of our country help in this through programmes on Indian classical music, dance, theatre, traditional paintings etc.
Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, the sons of Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan have a number of albums to their name including Reincarnation and Mystic Dunes. Their album Moksha was also nominated for the Grammy awards for the best traditional world music album.
The event will be on 18th January at 3 p.m. in MLSU Auditorium. Audacity’s classical concert is expected to see a footfall of over one thousand and promises to be one of the most interesting classical events in Udaipur.
