Anniversary of Tagore celebrated at Shramjeevi College
The birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University at M.V. Shramjeevi College, Udaipur.
The birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University at M.V. Shramjeevi College, Udaipur.
The recital began with the famous song “Anand Lok , Mangal Lok” followed by a series of Pooja songs, Nature songs, ceremonial songs and patriotic songs particularly the famous ‘Ekla chalo Re.’
Ramkrishna Bose, an expert on Tagore’s literature and Music trained at Vishwa Bharati, Shanti Niketan, Kolkata presented Tagore’s songs.
He was accompanied by Jeevan Bhattacharya on Harmonium, by Vijay Dhandhara on Sarangi and by Suraj and Ashok on Tabla. Before his recital the artists of Kumbha Kala Kendra sang the Sanstha Geet “Jyotirmaya yeh Desh Hamara” composed by Late Manishi Janardan Rai Nagar.
President of Rajasthan Association for Studies in English Prof. S,N,Joshi delivered the key note address on the fiction of Tagore.
