With a motive of promoting folk artists and culture of Udaipur and Rajasthan, West Zone Culture Centre has initiated a 3-day Art Fair at Shilpgram. Along with an organic food festival jointly managed by Shikshantar, Banayan Roots and Swaraj University, Art Fair will continue till 25^th February.

Today in the fair, locals enjoyed Rajasthani dances and music, as well as, delighted their taste buds with complete new flavours of organic food on the stalls managed by Shikshantar, which served Sama Millet Tikki (Mixed Veg), Amaranth (Kangani) Millet, Bajre Ki Khichdi, Saunf ka Sharbat and a variety of salads.

According to Manish Jain, founder of Shikshantar, this organic food is healthier and rich in minerals, proteins, fibers etc. More importantly it is fat free and cheaper on pocket when compared with that of a commonly eaten food prepared in oily medium.

It is for the first time that such a food festival is being held at Shilpgram. The Art Fair will continue for three days between 2 pm to 8 pm. Entry for this festival is free.
