Ashok Vajpayee to address at MLSU
Famous poet and critic Ashok Vajpayee will give a speech in MLSU auditorium on April 16 in the memory of Indian scholar and conservator of old literature, Padam Shri Muni Jinvijay. The topic of the speech is ‘Modernity of the Ancient’.
Famous poet and critic Ashok Vajpayee will give a speech in MLSU auditorium on April 16 in the memory of Indian scholar and conservator of old literature, Padam Shri Muni Jinvijay. The topic of the speech is ‘Modernity of the Ancient’.
The event is being organized by Hindi Department of the University. Professor Hada of Hindi Department introduced Vajpayee as the founder of Mahatma Gandhi Hindi University, Wardha and former president of Lalit Kala Academy.
Along with many prestigious Indian awards, Vajpayee has been awarded with Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters by French Government and Officer of the Order of the Cross by the Polish Government.
The program will be led by University Chancellor, I.V. Trivedi. In the program, Golden Jubilee edition of ‘Concern’, a letter by MLSU’s Humanities Department, will be unveiled.
